《第93届奥斯卡颁奖礼》在15日晚揭晓各大奖项的最后五强入围电影，其中《少年的你》成功挤进“最佳国际电影”五强。导演曾国祥得知喜讯后回应媒体，“多谢多谢！我刚刚才知道这个消息，非常兴奋。感谢大家的支持，因为整部戏在不同国家都受到观众支持。” 他不忘感谢主演和台前幕后工作人员的付出。
据悉，上一次有华语电影获提名奥斯卡颁奖礼“最佳国际电影”，已经是2003年张艺谋的《英雄》；时隔18年之久，再一次有华语电影获得提名。
另外，已故“Black Panther”演员Chadwick Boseman凭遗作《Ma Rainey's Black Bottom》首次入围“最佳男主角奖”五强。
