17 Crews, 10 countries and 20 regions. Can our local favourites topple Asia's finest street dancers to become the champions of Asian Battleground 2017?

The 17 crews will go through “The Judgement” round with the challenge to showcase a routine that not only represents but introduces their countries. Can the host nation Malaysia rise up to the challenge from the rest of the crews?

The local favourite, Elecoldxhot - previous champions of Astro Battleground 2008 - is expected to raise the bar with their members being veterans of the tournament. After years of hiatus, ECX now features a mix of new dancers and existing members and is hopeful of extending their legacy. Having participated in TV competitions and multiple international events, such as Hip Hop International and World of Dance, gives them the high confidence to go against the heavyweights from all over Asia. Their cultural diversity is ECX's strength moving forward. They, however, will need to shake off the rust to keep pace with their fierce competitors across the continent before they can reclaim the top spot once more.

Another Malaysian crew throwing their hats into the ring is the newly formed Eagle Ace. This exciting crew is made up of dancers handpicked by the judges for their funky fresh individual skills during the auditions to showcase our Malaysian dancing prowess. Eagle Ace’s young rookies show no sign of fear despite facing a steep learning curve in the competition. Get ready to be surprised by this young and confident crew fuelled by their David-versus-Goliath mentality to make an indelible mark on the Asian dance scene.
