《遇见贵人》赢《西游2》！梁志强：有满足感

The last six months of my life has been nothing short of amazing. It all began when I had to lose a bit of weight for an mma role. Being successful in shedding 5 kg for the role, I wanted to see far I could go and ended up losing 17kg in total. Then, I decided to test my skills at the tryouts. Many have told me I shouldn't compete because of who I am, they advised I have more to lose than to gain. And they are right. But I know there is a part of me that i have been suppressing these years. I knew I had to be courageous to do what my heart tells me to do. Last evening's fight was also like a reflection of my acting career, in both ways I have to put it all out in the open for everyone to see. As a public figure, my actions are always under scrutiny by people. Whether a film or fight does good or not, there's always risk involved. But I'm glad I managed to go the distance and finish all 3 rounds, most importantly, I knew I had given my best. Whoever says fighting is not a team sport is wrong, yesterday couldn't be possible without my friends and team who work tirelessly to help me. Even though its just a tryout fight, it is vital to prepare properly. Firstly, I would like to thank Junjie Teo for the 4 day clinic, thanks for polishing my striking and working on a game plan. Gam xia for the blue concoction you always brew for me. I'm really thankful to have you in my corner. Thanks also to Benjamin Ow Zhan Hong to help me oil before the fight. Also grateful for my dear #TeamBeast for cornering me and special shouts to BeastImp Nicholas Cho for our Team tee. I'm happy that friends from the same industry Joshua Tan, Jay Ng, Muhammad Fadzri and Benjamin Kheng could find a similar and healthy interest and train together. If not for Evolve, we probably only hangout at zouk. Also shouts to the comp team bros Azmi Moghni and Muhammad Ali for the last min tips, I hope i managed to pull some moves off there! Much appreciation to Sun Ji and Nadge for videos and photos respectively. I wanna extend my thanks to the FES warriors, Michael Tan for always giving me tips. Gavin KS Tan for working with leg catches and sweeps. Joseph Liao, Joshua Lee, Sean MacArthur thanks for being my fearless sparring partners and always pushing me. Also, appreciate the Ah Boys, Take2 cast, Chong Frank, FLY Entertainment 2AP and many friends whom I've haven't seen in awhile for showing up and supporting. Thank you my love, Linda Jaleena Ong. Shouts to the all Krus and staff at Evolve MMA, its such a great privilege to train authentic muay thai under so many legends. Thank you Kru Rong Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichok, Kruno Orono Wor Petchpool, Kru Yodkrumuay Muaythai, Kru non Non Tachai, Kru Phongsaklek Wanchongkham and PAPA. Also Kru must Namsaknoi Yudthagarngamtorn, miss you and see you soon. Lastly, shouts to my opponent Muhd Taufiq who gave me a good and clean fight. We both showed grace and sportsmanship.
